Well... Turns out there is a change in tournament plans. I know a few families will be happy, hopefully the new plan works for everyone else! BROCKPORT David Bigelow Memorial Tournament March 10-13, 2016, SUNY Brockport Ice Arena Reasons we switched: - Brockport has (for the last few years at least) been the following weekend in March (3/17-3/20) and that is the first week of Spring Break (many are headed out of town!). - Tournament Director just sent out the email last night at 5:30pm with new (and improved) dates. - Webster tournament requires you to stay at their "assigned" hotel and advertised the hotel was 3 miles from rink. Turns out the Hampton Inn in Webster is completely booked (with NYS High School Swim Meet) so we would have had to stay in Greece... hardly worth it! - Brockport tournament is a really good tournament... There is a skills competition Saturday afternoon, a coaches game Sunday (and yes, 2 of our own coaches will be featured in the game!), and every player gets a free tshirt! So, we switched! I have contacted the manager at the Hampton Inn in Brockport about getting a block of rooms there. I will need a rough estimate of who is interested in staying and which night(s). The tournament does start Thursday night (and Empire Conference teams may be asked to play a Thursday night game since we are close) and games on Friday could be as early at 10am. I am thinking most would be interested Friday and/or Saturday but please let me know ASAP. I should have a room price by the end of the week. As for the player tshirts, I used the player jackets sizes (with the exception of the youth large players... I moved them up to Adult Small). From what I remember from the tournament 2 years ago, the tshirts ran somewhat small (Ben was in a youth large at that time and I think he was only able to wear it twice before his belly button showed!). Please let me know via email (or at the rink tonight at practice) if you want a different size. The tshirt size has to go with our application and that is going in the mail tomorrow.
