Empire A midgets shut out two opponents

The Batavia Fisher Sports Ramparts Midget Empire A youth hockey team posted a pair of shutouts in recent action.

In the first game, the Ramparts blanked Canandaigua 4-0.

David Schmeider, Nate Jonathan, Will Smith and C.J. Norton tallied for Batavia, while Adam Siedlecki, Danny Hinca and Matt Tambe added assists.

Batavia then zipped Tri-County 3-0 as Siedlecki netted two goals and Jonathan one.

Hinca, Smith and Tim Martell drew assists.

Pee Wee Tier III

BATAVIA 4, CAZENOVIA 3: Goals by Cameron Ells, Ethan Hutchins, Grant Hens and Jared Hardies sent the Castilone Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ramparts past Cazenovia.

Ells, Baylee D'Alba and Devin Grimshaw collected assists.

BATAVIA 5, MONROE COUNTY 2: Ethan Hutchins lit the lamp twice as the Ramparts defeated Monroe County.

Sam Sallome, Devin Grimshaw and Cameron Ells also scored for Batavia, while Hutchins, Grimshaw, Ells, Grant Hens and Baylee D'Alba were credited with assists.

Jacob Snieszko and Ethan Conrad split time in goal for Batavia.

BATAVIA GOES 1-2 IN TOURNEY: The Ramparts took part in the Niagara Jr. Purple Eagles Thanksgiving Invitational and went 1-2.

Batavia defeated Mentor 6-2 in its opening game.

Cameron Ells led the Ramparts with two goals, with singles coming from Ethan Hutchins, Jared Hardies, Grant Hens and Mark Anauo. Assists came from Ells, Baylee D'Alba, Hagan Triftshauser, Kevin Tourt, Roger Barnes, Zac Akin and Sam Sallome.

In game two, Batavia dropped a 2-1 decision to the Buffalo Shamrocks.

Sallome scored the Ramparts' lone goal off assists from Hens and Hardies.

Batavia ended tournament play with a 2-1 loss to the Niagara Jr. Purple Eagles.

Grimshaw and Barnes set up Hutchins for the Batavia goal.

Ethan Conrad and Jacob Snieszko shared the goaltending duties.

Bantam A

ROCHESTER YOUTH 6, BATAVIA 4: A three-goal second period powered Rochester Youth past the Turnbull Heating and Air Ramparts.

Jacob Kasmarek scored two goals to lead the Ramparts, with Ben Carmichael and Brent Schum also scoring.

GENESEO 6, BATAVIA 4: Geneseo remained undefeated in league play as it outlasted the Ramparts on the strength of three third-period goals.

Jacob Kasmarek had two goals while Brad Misiak and Hayden London also scored for Batavia. Dylan D'Alba and Chase Vallance had assists.

Bantam Tier III BATAVIA 7, CAZENOVIA 1: Ryan Webster recorded a hat trick -- scoring in each period -- to support the strong goaltending of Connor Hamilton in the Logo It Ramparts' romp over Cazenovia.

Josh Hylkema, Christian D'Angelo, Alex Jones and Reid Rademacker also found the net for Batavia, which got assists from Cole Hudson (two), Webster, Jones, Jake Natalizia and Michael Hagelberger. Also playing well were Ryan Antinore, Sam Haile, Grant Dock, Jonathan Barber and Bryan Moscicki.

BATAVIA 9, BUFFALO 1: Hat tricks by Ryan Webster -- his second in two games -- and Christian D'Angelo carried the Ramparts to a convincing victory over the Bisons.

Grant Dock notched a pair of goals and Jake Natalizia one for Batavia. Assists were credited to D'Angelo (two), Josh Hylkema (two), Natalizia and Reid Rademacker.

J.T. Turnbull made some great saves in net.
